Hutchies is proud to have been given the opportunity to complete this remarkable project for our repeat client, Australian Unity. Designed by world renowned architects Fender Katsilidis, the facility features high end fixtures and fittings to exude a luxurious feel. Located at 114 Albert Road, South Melbourne and boasting views of Albert Park Lake in one direction and the Melbourne CBD in the other, this is aged care living at its finest.
This exciting redevelopment involves repurposing the existing Australian Unity office building and converting it to world class prestigious accommodation and services for older people. The 15-storey building will include aged care bedrooms and assisted living apartments, along with a magnitude of features and facilities within the building.
The completed development will include 84 aged care beds made up of 16 memory support beds and 68 RAC beds; 71 assisted living apartments, 57 x 1 bedroom and 14 x 2 bedrooms; communal areas for both aged care and assisted living residents; wellbeing facilities inclusive of beauty, fitness and rehabilitation hub; rooftop restaurant with lounge and outdoor areas; ground floor café to be shared with the newly completed ‘The Grace’ retirement living next door, ground floor retail space, Support and Staff Facilities; and 37 carparks across 2 basement levels
